If you have never experienced the music of Antonin Dvorak, then you are missing something in your life. However, if you would like to, the best way to enjoy the music of this great Czech master is by listening to his music performed by the Czechs themselves. Much of his music has been championed on the Czech record label SUPRAPHON. This label has produced a wide selection of Antonin Dvorak's music on CD. Please do yourself a favor, search out the SUPRAPHON label, listen to his music. You will not be disappointed!

This legendary Supraphon recording, dated 1949-50, is considered by most enthusiasts to be the greatest recording ever made of the "New World Symphony".

Czech Philharmonic Tours the US

The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, with American soloist Alyssa
Park (violin), had a brief tour of the USA in November 1996.

I had the chance to see them Perform Nov 22 1996,
at the State Theater in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

It was an experience that will live with me forever!

Sad to say, after having heard the Czech Philharmonic live, I now find it
very hard to enjoy listening to other Orchestras in the New Jersey area!

The Bartok Concerto is part of Supraphon's Josef Suk Treasury Series.
